What a weekend we all had exploring Sado Island. We took the 3-hour ferry trip from the port in Joestu and enjoyed the carefree ride in fine weather to our overnight destination, Lake Kamo. The next morning, we took the coastal route back to the ferry via the bird sanctuary housing the almost extinct Toki (Ibis). Tamami had a spectacular blowout and close call when her inner tube burst from the tyre; I only had a normal, non-spectacular puncture just 30 minutes from the ferry.
